Education is the process of facilitating learning. The knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits of a group of people are passed on to others through storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, or research. Education often takes place under the guidance of educators, but learners can also educate themselves in a process called self-directed learning. Any experience that has a formative effect on the way one thinks, feels or acts can be considered educational.
